Susan Handy

Salon Director, Susan, has over 30 years experience within the hairdressing industry as a stylist and also as a manager within other salons.

11 years ago she fulfilled a life long dream and opened Mary Handy Hair & Beauty and named it after her beloved mother.

Susan still has the same passion for hair as she did when she first started but she also believes in incredible customer service, and this is at the heart of the Mary Handy experience

Susan never fails to put a smile on her guests’ faces with both her talent and a little Irish charm!

Her community spirit is also a huge reason why she is so loved; Susan has completed a number of events for charity and also raised the funds to provide Wallingford with 10 defibrillators.

Ben

Ben has nearly 20 years of hairdressing experience and has been with Mary Handy for 5 years now.

He is salon manager, a role he proudly took on in 2021.

Ben is excited by all things colour and is passionate about the incredible creative freedom and ability that AVEDA colour gives technicians within the salon.

Whether it be with scissors, a cut-throat razor or clippers, Ben loves to design versatile cuts that simply fall in to place, are easy to style and, ultimately, enjoyable to wear.

Ben became a Racoonista in 2020 – specializing in Luxe Link extensions, which he thoroughly enjoys transforming clients’ hair with.

Megan

Megan joined the team almost 3 years ago and we couldn’t imagine the salon without her now.

A Premier Stylist with 8 years industry experience under her belt, Megan’s dedication to client care and satisfaction is what she prides herself on most.

Her great passion is for all things colour and thrives on big hair transformations – never happier when holding a balayage board and painting hair!

Since joining the Mary Handy team she has fallen in love with everything AVEDA and loves helping her guests fall in love with AVEDA and their hair too.

Michelle

We’re thrilled to welcome the deliciously curly Michelle to the team!

Michelle has been hairdressing for 17 years and is still as passionate today as ever.

Confident and experienced in all aspects of hair, Michelle is excited to be working with AVEDA – a brand that aligns with her own ethics and desire for a greener world.

She’s a great addition to the team with an outgoing and fun personality – book in now!

Mr Handy

Mr Handy is surely the most hardworking of all the Mary Handy team – providing snuggles for our guests and just being terribly cute around the clock (tiring work).

He’s a 13 year old Chihuahua with the kindest heart and an easy-going nature, sometimes he’s so chilled we forget he’s in the salon.

Dog-lover or not, we know you’ll fall in love with our gorgeous, gentle boy – make sure you say “Hello” at your next visit!
